Location: San Francisco, CA
Fabric Type: PVC
Project Size: 20,600 sqft
Architect: Pelli Clarke Pelli Architects
Owner: Transbay Joint Powers Authority
General Contractor: McGuire and Hester
Completion Date: 2010

FabriTec Structures erected this frame-supported PVC shade structure at the San Francisco financial district area bus terminal to shelter transit employees and multi-modal passengers from the elements.

The Transbay Temporary Terminal provides temporary bus terminal facilities while demolition of the old Transbay Terminal and construction of the new multi-modal Transbay Transit Center takes place. Located minutes from the former Terminal on the block bounded by Main, Folsom, Beale and Howard Streets, the Temporary Terminal serves AC Transit, WestCAT Lynx, Muni, Golden Gate Transit, SamTrans and Greyhound passengers.

FabriTec was professional and a pleasure to work with on this difficult project in a multi-agency environment. Pride and quality of workmanship in these canopies are obvious and the end product has received many favorable comments from the owner and the public. (We) look forward to working with FabriTec on future projects.
